How We Met
We first met in the late nineties, a moment so vivid it’s etched into my soul. It was a holiday weekend, and I had stopped at a gas station in Brawley to fuel up my Jeep on my way home from Yuma to Bakersfield. That’s when I saw her.
Our eyes locked for the briefest second, but in that instant, time seemed to stand still. I had to do a double take—she was absolutely breathtaking.
Her long, golden hair cascaded over her shoulders, catching the sunlight just right, and for a moment, I forgot everything else around me. She was so gorgeous and hot, that she created global warming as we know today.
Unfortunately, fate had other plans. It wasn't our time, yet.
30 years later in the Fall of 2023 Fate would take its course once again. We ended up connecting on online on a dating App. We ended up meeting and spending the entire day together, lost in conversation, discovering that our hearts beat for the same passions, the same dreams. When our souls touched the earth shook as if 100 nuclear bombs detonated.
The connection was electric, undeniable—like two souls recognizing each other after a lifetime apart. From that very first encounter, I knew—this wasn’t just attraction. This was something deeper, something rare.
